After initial screening, clients may refer to specialists for further examination and diagnosis. Specialist services include:
- Memory Clinics
- Government Specialty Outpatient Clinics (Psychiatry, Neurology and Geriatrics)
- Other Medical Services
- e.g. cerebrovascular diseases are followed up in the specialty of internal medicine, or hypothyroidism (deficiency of thyroxine) is managed by endocrinologists - Private Specialists
Once a diagnosis of dementia is made, clients and families can look for are expected to receive medical follow-up and other related services in the community.
